Finals!!!

So finals start tomorrow! I'm studying really hard so I can try to pull off an A average. Its looking ok so far. I've been keeping up with my study schedule, which is unusual for me :P. I've been doing alright this semester...there's a few things that I wish I could have done better on but I shouldn't get below a 70 in any subject. That's pretty good or 5 of them, I think. I'm just looking forward to it all being over. After the 18th i'm freeeee!!! It shouldn't be too bad this semester anyway. My exams are fairly spaced so I should have enough study time for each one. Tomorrow is my computers exam which is only worth 20% and i'm going in with a 95...so i'm not really worried about it. I should get back to studying though!!!

Stessed!

Its been pretty long since i've written. It has been crazy lately! I have so much work to do right now. This is the part of the semester when all the work starts to pile up. I hope I do ok. I havn't been doing too bad so far. Not as good as I would like but i'm trying my hardest. Its hard to find time for everything! I really can't wait or this semester to be over.

I'm thinking that i'm going to go back to the Boys and Girls Club for the summer. I really enjoyed it last year. Its a perfect amount of hours for what I need. I get weekends off and still make decent money...plus I get experience for my resume. I also get to have a month and a half off after classes are over before I have to start working there.

I'm attempting to get a laptop now. Its a lot of trouble getting approved for it to be mailed to this address. I need a bunch of information that I do not have yet. Its taking way too long. I doubt i'll even have it to use for this semester. The people from Dell are not e-mailing back...its just really getting annoying. I need the laptop so bad. This computer doens't seem like its going to last much longer and my desktop is crap too :(. Its hard to use Shawn's computer because he is on it so much. Hurry up laptop!

Well I should go get some sleep. Another day of school tomorrow! *sigh*

Moving!

Its been a while...i've been very busy! We're just about packed up now. We're moving on Sunday!!! I'm so excited to get out of this place. We managed to get everything worked out here with leaving. It was a little stressful there for a while. Shawn's friend Steve is coming over early Saturday afternoon to help, because Shawn has to work, and we hired a moving van. SO it shouldn't be too much trouble. We should be all settled by Monday...I hope!

I'm just about caught up with school work and even a little ahead in some courses! That's awesome for me. I never do that. I'd be even furthur ahead if we weren't in the middle of moving. Anyway, i'm trying to catch up with my online course now so i'll be all ready to move this weekend. Next time I write it will be in the new place!!!

Busy Busy!!!

I'm just trying to get through some homework now. There's so many readings to do! I also have 2 assignments due the end of the month that I have to work on...one is actually a blog! Its so hard to find time for everything. I'm also getting everything ready for moving out so i'm very very busy lately. Tomorrow i'm in school until about 7 because after class at 5 we have a video to go watch for one of our classes. So because I can't get any studying done tomorrow I have to try to fit in time for it this weekend while getting some packing done! Phew!

I did a little shopping today so that cheers me up. I want to make my apartment look a lot better than this one so i've been buying some new things for it. I ordered a new couch slipcover, bought some cushions, and today a bought a really cool clock for the kitchen and a big picture to go over the couch! I also did some book shopping. I bought The Nanny Diaries and Shopaholic and Baby for myself. For Emma I bought The Very Hungry Caterpillar and one called Love You Forever. I bought one for Colby for his birthday too. Its a really cool book...a guide to fantasy creatures and stuff. It looks awesome!

So i've decided to start selling my paintings. I got 4 orders tonight so I have to get started on that! Its something to keep me from getting bored and also a little extra money for myself. That can help me out a LOT! I'm excited to get started on them. Hopefully I can find time!!!

Well back to the books! Gotta try to keep my resolution for this year!

New Apartment!!!

I found one! Finally! I'm so excited about it. I went to mom's this morning so I could look for apartments today. My sister Marie took me to the one next to MUN and it was horrible. I was really starting to give up hope. I didn't think that I would ever find one. After dinner I went to look at the one in Cowan Heights with Sherry. It is great!!! It's a one bedroom but the room is really big, so is the living room and kitchen. The kitchen has oak cupboards so its really nice. We also have a laundry/storage room so its pretty big. I can't wait to have my own washer and dryer. Anyway, we should be able to start moving in the last week on this month. Woo!!! I didn't mention the cats because I was afraid we wouldn't get it. Hopefully they won't mind. I don't think it will be a problem though because they have 2 dogs themselves. I'm at Sherry's now so I should get back to Emma lol. Bye for now!

Another Boring Day

Today wasn't all that exciting. I was going to have to stay home by myself for most of the day so I decided to go down to mom's instead. My sister Sherry and her kids Emma and Colby were staying there for the night so it wasn't too bad. Emma keeps me going so you can never be bored with her around. While I was there I found a few places to call so I can go take a look at them tomorrow. There's one on Cowan Heights, one pretty close to school and there's one that a left a message for right next to mom. I think any of them will be fine. I'm going tomorrow afternoon to take a look at the first 2 for now. Hopefully one of them will be ok.

Tomorrow is another early day. I have to get to mom's early for dinner and also make sure i'm there in time to get to the apartment viewing. I'm staying at Sherry's tomorrow night for something to do. Just to keep her company and help out with Emma while John is gone. Wish me luck with the apartments. I need to get some sleep...

Apartment Hunting

Sigh...what a disappointing day. I went to class hoping to get my books that I'm buying from a girl I know but found out after I got there that she was in the earlier class. I really wanted to catch up on some work this weekend. So that was the beginning of this not so great day. I did buy some other books at the bookstore, though, so that should hold me over until I get my others.
I only had one class so was home early. We didn't bother to check out any apartments today because we thought we had found the perfect one. Shawn called last night and they said for us to come look at it today at 5:30. When Shawn called around 5 to tell them we would be up soon he told us that he had already rented it. So we sat around all day for nothing. Anyway, I managed to find another one to look at before we came back home from mom's. It was really nice. It's brand new and everything. I'm still not really sure about it though. It's not too far from mom but its not walking distance still. It's also pretty small. Plus the people didn't say for sure if we could have it. They kind of have a problem with the fact that we have 4 cats...lol. Oh well. I found some others to phone about and we can go look at later. Maybe i'll call mom and see if she'll look at some with me tomorrow. I just can't wait to get out of here!!!
Anyway, time to go get a start on the pile of books and papers I have to read this weekend...great.

Sick Day

Another sick day...ugh. I never bothered to go to school to day because I still wasn't feeling up to it. I heard from a friend that there is some stomach bug going around that a lot of people at school have. Hopefully it doesn't last too long. I don't want to miss too much school. I have one class tomorrow and i'm going to go to it because i'm missing Monday's class so that I can stay into my sister Sherry's house to help her out with Emma while her boyfriend is out of town for work.

Well, although I was sick I did manage to get some stuff done. I got a lot cleaned up around the apartment. (Shawn's brother is coming over for a while tomorrow night so we have to finish cleaning tonight). I also finished painting a picture of Tinkerbell for Emma. I hope she likes it! After that I decided to take a look in the paper for apartments. The one we were supposed to go look at tomorrow we decided against. Apparently its in a really bad part of town so we're not going to bother with it. I DID find another one though and we're going to look at that one tomorrow after supper :). It seems pretty good and its right across the street from Shawn's mom so we're close to our parents houses AND a car! I hope everything goes ok. I really want to move out of here. There's a couple more places I found that we can take a look at anyway. Hopefully one of them will work out.

Well I should go get some more cleaning done. Shawn will be home soon to help me out and then I need to get some sleep. Long day tomorrow!

Back to the Books!

First day back to classes today! It wasn't too bad. Kinda long though. But all my courses and profs seem pretty good so i'm pretty excited about that! I'm trying to get most of my school books this week so that I will not fall behind in anything. There will be a LOT of textbook and other readings this semester, something that I am not looking forward to! No work for tonight, though. I'm just way too tired. Once again i'm running on about 4 hours of sleep. I hope this staying awake all night thing doesn't last much longer...
So I've decided that my New Years resolution is to be more motivated...in everything. I want to make sure that I keep up with readings and assignments, not miss many classes, and try to raise my grades in school. I also want to start going to the gym next week. Me and my friend Gina have the same schedule this semester so hopefully our breaks will be spent working out instead of eating donuts at Tim Hortons. :0P. Lets see how long that will last.
I finished "Undomestic Goddess" and I thought it was a pretty good book. I can't wait to get my loan because i'm headed straight for the bookstores! I never find time for reading while i'm in school but i'm still going to try! Theres also a BUNCH of RPGs for PS2 that I have not finished. They may have to wait for summer though. This is still going to be a busy busy semester.
Well nap time for me. Only one class tomorrow! Woo!

Extra Holiday!

I didn't go to school today...for a few reasons. First of all I wasn't feeling well and havn't been for the past few days. Second of all I didn't get any sleep last night. I don't know what was wrong. I just couldn't fall to sleep. Third of all Shawn accidentally turned off my ringer so I slept in...blah. Whatever...at least I got some extra sleep that I needed. Tomorrow I start with a long day. Not looking forward to it!
I havn't been very productive today. I'm just having a lazy sort of day. We did go get some groceries! (Yay! Food!) And i'm planning on finishing my book so that's something!
I'm trying to round up some school books now. Apparently they're cheaper this semester, which is great! I'm borrowing one from my best friend, Amy. She did the course, Sexual Behavior, before and still has the book. I've heard from a lot of people that its a really good course. I'm also doing Forensic Psychology along with my Education courses. I guess i'll find out a total for books tomorrow. *Sigh*...money.
Well I better get bundled up again and head out in the cold to go get a bus pass...I hate Newfoundland winters!

Just another Sunday.

Nothing too exciting for today. I went to mom's for most of the day. I had dinner there (mmmmm!) and got to see my niece, Emma. She's so cute! She is turning out to be so smart! I can't believe the things she says at only 1 years old! Anyway, I just hung out with family for the day and then came back to the apartment.
I'm really getting sick of it here. I started looking for apartments in the paper today. We're hoping to find one soon and get out of here ASAP! I don't want to live in an apartment building anymore. I'm sick of being screwed over, of the noise, of sharing the laundry room with people who have no consideration for anyone else and take up both washers and dryers for the whole day! I hate living so far away from my family. I hate everything about this place lately and I just want out! Whatever...enough ranting. You get the point...I want to move.
School tomorrow! I don't really mind that. I just hate the part where I have to walk through 10 feet of snow and stand in the cold waiting for the bus. Other than that I'm kind of excited! Its starting to get a little boring around here. I need to get out of the house! Only one class tomorrow so I start off easy. I have that for 3 out of 5 days which is pretty awesome! The other 2 days I have 3 classes from 10:30 til 4:45. with a 2 hour break in between. My schedule is not at all bad this semester.
Well before this gets too boring I'm going to head off and enjoy the last few hours of freedom before I go to bed. Nite nite!

Hello!

Well...here's my first post! I'm not really sure how to start it all off. As I mentioned, I'm a University student. I just started in the Education Faculty in September so I have finished semester #1 of 6! I'm really enjoying it so far. I've meet some great people and I love the courses. I had a bit of a tough time last semester with trying to get used to the course load but hopefully I'll get back on track when the new semester starts on Monday! I'm kind of excited to go back but more so dreading it. I've loved the freedom that I've had over Christmas break. It's been a long time since I've been just been able to sit and relax. Well it was a great break. I got to see my family a lot and catch up on some reading so I guess I'm ready to get back to it again.
I've enjoyed my last free night tonight. Me and my boyfriend, Shawn, rented a movie and ordered some pizza. We watched The Nanny Diaries and I really enjoyed it. I'm hoping to pick up the book soon. Anyway, I think I should head off to bed because its getting late and its got to be an early day tomorrow! Mom invited me down for Sunday dinner. Yum! I have to enjoy this while I still can. I usually can't make it down on Sundays during school. Nite!
